OptoDrive™ Solutions
A light source for minor surgery, examination lights and other medical applications as well as for veterinarian use to meet the following directives: EN60601-2-41 IEC: 2000, UL60601-1 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 601.1-M-90.

The Optodrive™ LED Engines are designed with internal drivers and are therefore easily connected into applications for 24-36VDC or with an external wall outlet transformer.

Applications
The LED engine is designed for light fittings and luminaries aiming for the Minor Surgery and Medical area to meet the demands on high performance optical solutions in both light emitting and in colour rendering. Mechanically it is constructed with our package designs such as Svea (90 mm), Clara (50 mm) and Felicia (35 mm) that has the same footprint as the others in the family both for external drivers as well as for built-in drivers for 110/230VAC.

Accessories
Dimmers
Our LED dimmer module have been designed for simple dimming of all Medical Optodrive™ versions with integrated driver (ID). The software is designed for Medical use with memory to overcome problems with power failures. It will always start with its last output power.
Heat Sinks
There are many different manufacturers producing standard Heat Sinks for the platforms. Please be aware that the various Heat Sinks have different characteristics and they need to be controlled accordingly in their environment to ensure a proper lifetime.

Module Package

The same package is used for Down-, Spot-, Task- and Medical light fittings. The solution is developed to make it easy for the design engineers to mix between low to high power and from AC to DC in the same luminaries or in similar designs. In the design concept there are standard dimmers with the same snap in connectors (that fits the whole Optodrive™ concept ) as well as several heat sink designs with worldwide distribution.

Spectral Characteristics

The medical LED modules meet the regulations from Eu and US and also meets the demands for Australian hospitals and medical area where all luminaries are required to comply with the Cyanosis Observation Index (COI) as per AS1680.2.5:1997.

Understanding The Optodrive™ Medical Specification

The colour temperature of the radiation emitted are set to be between 4.300K or 4.700K when the LED Module is set to produce a maximum illuminance.

The colour rendering index (CRI / Ra ) must be above 90 (93-95).

The chromaticity co-ordinates (x, y) of the radiation emitted by the LED Module shall be within the field defined by the following co-ordinates of six points A(0.31, 0.375), B(0.31, 0.307), C(0.341, 0.307), D(0.42, 0.37), E(0.445, 0.422), and F(0.38, 0.422).
