Why should we use LEDs?

The LEDs advantages
The differences towards other light sources are that they are not using any light filament and they are not filled with any kind of gas. They are very environmental friendly in compression and do not use as much energy as many other light sources. The LED’s have been used since the 1960th and have earlier bin used in electronic devices.

LED’s are today being used in many different applications since they have so many advantages compared with standard light sources. Down below you will find some advantages that you should consider before entering…

Energy savings – White LED’s are today emitting light of 100 lumen / Watt in comparison with the light-bulbs 10 – 20 lumen / Watt.

Life time – LED’s have a life time of 10 – 300 000 ours depending on application and version. A standard light-bulb have only 1.000 ours life time.

Security – The LED is working as a low voltage application and is safe to touch. The light beam is not containing any heat.

Cleaner light – The emitted light contains a minimum of UV and IR in the light beam.

Colour – Since the light is emitting in a very close spectrum no colour filters are needed and by that lower energy consumption.

Vibration – Vibration have no effect on the emitted light because of no moving parts inside the LED
